I work as a nurse in Tarzana Hospital in California. Although I am greatful to be of service to the unhealthy, I must admit it is a very stressful job. Especially when I am dealing with young children. I do my best to comfort them and pray continuously for their wellbeing. My name is Natasha and I work with children with mental illnesses. My sincere passion and love for children makes my job more enjoyable than anyone could possibly imagine. Most people may think that working with retarded children is sad and painful, I enjoy every moment as I see these bright individuals as equal and beaming forces of positive energy! I am honored that I am able to serve these special children and build personal relationships with them along the way. One day, one of my children volunteered to make tea and share with the class. I was proud of her efforts and encouraged her interact with the rest of the kids independently. Unfortunately, as she began pouring from the hot tea kettle, she experienced nervous feelings and excitement leading to an accident. She ended up burning her whole left hand with boiling water. She was rushed to the hospital immediately but she was more upset at the fact that she felt like she let us down as we were all anticipating her tea party surprise. I explained that accidents happen and we were just sad that she was in pain. I decided to personally lift her spirits and wish her a speedy recovery with a get well soon gift baskets for kids.
